See this little girl...
The one who wears heels for breakfast...
And prays every night that God would give her wings to fly "real"
She turned 4 this week
And then she got on her new bike and rode off to college :(Here's a real conversation we had today:
Ava: I am not a baby anymore mama. God turned me 4 now. (said matter of factly with her hands on her hips)
Me: (Pretending to cry)
Ava: It's ok mama. You don't have to be sad. When I go away and leave you, you can give money to my teachers to come with me. I'll take you to see my friends and I'll always be your baby.
Me: (Still pretending to cry but this time almost crying for real)
Ava: Ok mama, here's the deao (deal), let's pray to Jesus that you won't be sad anymore. Ok, how's that?! (Bowing her head and taking my hand) "Dear Jesus, please don't make mommy sad anymore and take care of her when I have to yeave. Help her know that I will always love her and she is a beautiful, sparkly, disneyland, mommy. And byess this food to our bodies. Amen"
And now I am crying too. SNIFF.
