Ben has had a new project this summer called espalier and here it is! Basically you grow plants on wires and train them in the direction you want them to go. There is a vineyard on the side of the house and an apple tree on the fence. They look so beautiful and there are even tiny little grapes and apples already. I can't wait to watch them grow and flower.
So, what kind of grapes did you end up planting? Garett is very jealous that Ben had time to do this already!
ReplyDeleteHe went with the suffolk red. It only took him and Dad a couple days. They put the posts in concrete and then used a leveler to get the wires straight. He even has a little chair out there to watch them. It's pretty cute. :)
